Hello there!
I’m a portrait photographer based in Tacoma Washington, originally from southern Idaho. I’ve been out here for almost four years now, and I’ve fallen in love with the atmosphere and culture of the PNW (yes, even the rain). There are so many beautiful people and strong characters to be found in the greater Seattle area, and It’s my pleasure to be a part of capturing their stories. In fact, the title ‘Lil Bro’ was bestowed on my by a few quirky indivudals I’ve encountered here.
For as long as I can remember, I have struggled to conjure images in my head. Whether or not its aphantasia or just some quirk of mine, I’ll never know. I have a loose sense of memory — I remember feelings and words, but no images to tie them down. Photography has always held a special place in my heart for the way it freezes a memory. As far as I’m concerned, photography is the closest thing we have to time travel. Just seeing an image of myself or a friend can bring floods of emotions and memories back to me. That’s why photography is important. It’s not just capturing an image, but capturing a time, a person, and a story. A good photo is empowering. It makes you feel something. Those are the photographs I hope to take.
